da apostebet: Goalkeeper Neil Etheridge signed a new one-year contract with Fulham and described the club as ‘a special place’.

da bet sport: The 23-year-old has struggled for first-team action with the Londoners since he joined their Academy from Chelsea’s in 2006 while he spent three months of this season on loan with Bristol Rovers.

However, boss Martin Jol has moved to tie him down to a new 12-month contract at the club where he is now expected to try and challenge first-choice veteran Mark Schwarzer for the number one jersey next season.

It has been reported that Jol wants to bring in another more experienced keeper this summer, but Etheridge could be given a chance to shine especially as fellow custodian David Stockdale appears set to join Premier League new boys Hull City on a permanent deal following a successful loan stint this season.

“I’m delighted to have signed for another year at the club as it’s been a special place for me since I joined,” he told the club’s official website.

“There’s a fantastic set-up here for me to train and really hone my craft and, with Mark Schwarzer guiding me, I really couldn’t ask for a better mentor or opportunity.
