Man Utd hold talks to sign Premier League winner
da fazobetai: The biggest change at Old Trafford this month has come in the technical area, with Michael Carrick becoming the interim boss until the end of the season after Man United decided to sack Ruben Amorim.
The former midfielder got off to the perfect start by easing past Manchester City in shock fashion last weekend, but now needs backing the January transfer window.

Even under a new manager, the Red Devils’ midfield is likely to take the focus too. With Casemiro edging past his past and Manuel Ugarte proving to be more and more of a transfer regret, Man United should dip into the transfer market to welcome immediate upgrades in the next two weeks.
To that end, Ruben Neves and Noah Sadiki have both been mentioned as reported options this month. The former looks to be on his way out of the Saudi Pro League, whether it’s in the current window or as a free agent in the summer, and has seemingly set his sights on a move to Old Trafford.
Sadiki, meanwhile, is also an interesting option. The Sunderland star is enjoying an excellent debut campaign in England and reports have claimed that Man United are now willing to offer Ugarte in a shock swap deal to sign the midfielder.
As ever, though, Neves and Sadiki aren’t the only names on INEOS’ shortlist. According to talkSPORT, Man United have now held talks to sign Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan from AC Milan this month as he seeks a return to the Premier League.
Loftus-Cheek could replace Ugarte
A two-time Premier League winner at Chelsea, Loftus-Cheek arguably has unfinished business in the Premier League after leaving for Milan in 2023. He bowed out of Stamford Bridge after an inconsistent spell full of loan moves and periods in and out of the team under various managers, but could now be on his way back to England.
Alongside Man United, Aston Villa are also chasing the 29-year-old in what would be another wise loan move from the Villans a year on from when they saved their season with similar deals for Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio.
This time around, however, United will be looking to spoil their plans by landing a crucial replacement for the struggling Ugarte. Whilst the South American struggles in possession and often finds himself overrun in England, Loftus-Cheek is the powerful ball-progressor that United desperately need.
